Blueberry Bulldogs Move on to World Series
Tuesday, October 29th , 2047
After winning the MVP of the League Championship, Sudbury hurler Josh Deere said he is focused on putting forward another strong performance in the World Series.
"I feel great on the mound right now, it's hard to explain," said the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs pitcher, who played a big role in his team eliminating the Saskatchewan 92's. "All I know is I want this to continue."
Sudbury won the final game by a 12-9 count and the series 4-1. Deere had a 2.25 ERA over 4 innings pitched, with a 0-0 record.
"We didn't do enough to win, it's as simple as that," said Saskatchewan manager Salvador Rubio.
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Brooklyn Knights - Detroit Pizzas series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
