July's Top Hurler is Scothorn Sunday, August 1st , 2049 The Alliance League made it official today -- Jason Scothorn of the Portland Beavers is the Pitcher of the Month. In July he impressed the sportswriters with his domination of league hitters. Scothorn made 6 starts, registered 4 wins and 1 loss with a solid 3.00 ERA. In 42 innings he allowed 43 hits, racked up 43 strikeouts, walked 16 and permitted teams to hit .259 against him. On the year, Scothorn has compiled a 13-4 mark with a 2.76 ERA. |
