Monday, July 26th , 2049
Chris Nicotra went yard three times in a Arizona Desert Storm victory over the Havana Sugar Kings at Desert Storm Stadium.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Arizona first baseman went 3-for-5 against Havana with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Desert Storm to the 12-5 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Chris Nicotra flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eric McKinney in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Rick Licea in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Bill Mitchell in the 8th.
