Star of the Week Awarded in FL Monday, July 24th , 2051 Osaka fans have something to crow about today as Osaka first baseman Jim Garnet nabbed the Federation League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Garnet. He posted a .588 average (10-for-17) this past week with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. At present, Garnet is batting .276 and has collected 19 home runs, 55 RBIs, .339 OBP and scored 54 runs. |
