Pizzas End Lambert Streak Sunday, October 6th , 2047 The Hanoi Dragon Warriors lost to the Detroit Pizzas, 5-1, at Pizzas Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Zachery Lambert's 24-game hitting streak. The right fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Lambert, we would win the game," Pizzas manager Evan Compton explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Lambert has a .298 average and a .376 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 138 hits, 10 home runs and driven in 60 runs. |
