Hot Bat Cooled, Anaya Hitless Against Kings Wednesday, September 11th , 2047 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Tony Anaya as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings. It wasn't all bad for the 25-year-old center fielder and the Havana Sugar Kings however, as they defeated Los Angeles, 6-4, at Sugardome II. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Anaya laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." On the year, Anaya is hitting .251 with 130 hits, 20 home runs, 53 RBIs, .345 OBP and has scored 85 runs. |
