Kelley Bashes 3 HR for Hanoi Friday, June 30th , 2051 Danny Kelley went on an explosive hitting spree against the Havana Sugar Kings at The Nest, launching a trio of blasts to help the Hanoi Dragon Warriors win, 9-7. The first baseman finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 8 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Kelley said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Havana skipper The Baron said Kelley was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Danny Kelley flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chad Edwards in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Chad Edwards in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Eric Hunt in the 6th. At the moment, Kelley is batting .314 with 6 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 53 games and scored 29 times. |
