San Antonio Held Hitless by Gordam
Tuesday, September 3rd , 2047
In a dominant outing, Karl Gordam of the Dublin Porters totally silenced the bats of the San Antonio Aztecs, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 4-0 victory, Gordam faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 16 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Dublin manager Jim DG said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Jim Lumo told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Porters had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Gordam pitched a heck of a ballgame."
Over the season Gordam has thrown 191 innings and dished out 289 strikeouts with a 15-6 mark and a 3.91 ERA.
