Hitting Streak Still Alive for Johnson Wednesday, June 21st , 2051 Jeff Johnson's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The Waikiki left fielder smacked 1 hit against the Dublin Porters in today's game at Porters Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Wayfinders drop the game, 10-5. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Jeff Johnson hit a solo-shot off Adam D'Amonte in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. For the season, Johnson has produced 80 hits in 264 at-bats for a .303 average with 13 home runs and gotten on base at a .349 clip. |
