AL's #1 Player Named Monday, May 13th , 2052 24-year-old Rowan Cooper sent shock waves through The Confederation of Baseball Dunces last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Alliance League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Cooper made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBI. Where the Los Angeles Kings left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Cooper certainly made his mark last week. This season, Cooper is batting .352 with 50 hits, 17 home runs, 43 RBIs, 15 walks, .411 OBP and has scored 32 runs. He has played in 35 games. |
