Norwood Will Sit Out 2 Games, Suspended by League Sunday, August 9th , 2048 Kyle Norwood, third baseman for the Arizona Desert Storm, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 2-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Los Angeles. After being called out on strikes, Norwood stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Norwood told BNN today. Norwood is hitting .304 this season with 6 home runs, 40 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 117 hits in 385 at-bats. |
