Gloves Found, Carvalho Rejoices Friday, July 24th , 2048 A while back we brought you the story of the poor Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs's third baseman who was honestly devastated by the loss of his lucky college batting gloves. Today, the gloves suddenly turned up in the strangest of places. Said teammate, Carlos Torres, "I found them in my underwear drawer...seriously. As soon as I found them, I got them back to Michel. I didn't even ask for a finder's fee and besides, I couldn't wait to get rid of them - they really stank." No details on how the gloves got in Torres's underwear drawer and perhaps that is for the best. For his part, Michel Carvalho was ecstatic. Telling the Sudbury Daily News, "I put them on right away - it felt so good to have them back. I can't wait to get back out there and face pitching again with these on." |
