Big Bat Pays Off, Silva Player of the Week Monday, July 20th , 2048 26-year-old Juan Silva sent shock waves through The Confederation of Baseball Dunces last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Federation League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Silva made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .643 average, 9 hits in 14 at-bats, no home runs and 1 RBI. Where the Arizona Desert Storm second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Silva certainly made his mark last week.
