Johnson Rips 3 Homers Against Archies Tuesday, April 23rd , 2052 It was a terrific day for Jeff Johnson, who ripped three home runs at Team2 Ballpark, and a disappointing one for the Waikiki Wayfinders who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 11-9, to the St. Louis Archies. "He was instant offense," Waikiki skipper GM Yokotuna said. "Jeff really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Johnson collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Team2 Ballpark. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Jeff Johnson flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Shuhei Ouchi in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Shuhei Ouchi in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Alex Garcia in the 8th. Johnson is currently hitting at a .325 pace with 6 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
