Day of Decision: Maris Retires Sunday, September 4th , 2044 Josh Maris said he's incredibly grateful for getting a chance to play with the Omaha Aces organization, but this season will be his last. "I'm extremely loyal to the team, but that's why I have to walk away. I think there's probably someone younger and better who can come in and take my spot," the 36-year-old said. "I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've gotten in pro ball." During his career, Maris has played in 1288 games, batted .208 with 181 home runs and 948 base hits. |
