Wesner, Liston Receive 4-Game Suspensions Monday, July 6th , 2048 Today the league office handed out 4-game suspensions to Jay Wesner of the Sugar Kings and George Liston of the Pizzas for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at Pizzas Ballpark yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." So far this year, Wesner has 6 home runs and a .237 batting average. During this season, Liston has delivered 8 saves. In 29 relief appearances, he has 43 strikeouts in 29 innings with a 3.10 ERA and 2 wins and 3 losses. |
