Johnson Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Thursday, June 15th , 2051 With 1 hit at Desert Storm Stadium, Jeff Johnson added another game to his hitting streak -- the Waikiki left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Wayfinders, as they fell, 8-6, to the Arizona Desert Storm. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Arizona manager GM PerryPHX said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Jeff Johnson grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Currently Johnson is batting .302 with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
