Havana-Brooklyn Brawl, Anaya and Hernandez Suspended Saturday, June 10th , 2051 After an intense confrontation, both the Sugar Kings Tony Anaya and the Knights Edgar Hernandez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Havana-Brooklyn game. Tony Anaya will miss 4 games, while Edgar Hernandez was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tony Anaya commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the season, Anaya is hitting .239, batted in 24 runs with 8 home runs and 21 runs scored. This season, Hernandez has 3 wins and no losses and a 2.22 ERA. |
