Alliance League Selects Best Performer Monday, June 14th , 2049 It was an extraordinary week for Jason Engels of the Havana Sugar Kings. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .409, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Alliance League. Last week Engels went 9-for-22, racked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Havana right fielder. This year, Engels has collected a .402 batting average to date with 94 hits in 234 at-bats, 53 RBIs, 17 home runs and scored 48 times. He has played in 57 games. |
