Big Bat Pays Off, Engels Player of the Week Monday, June 5th , 2051 It was an extraordinary week for Jason Engels of the Havana Sugar Kings. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .520, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Alliance League. Last week Engels went 13-for-25, racked up 2 home runs and 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Havana right fielder. This season in 42 games, Engels has hit at a .317 clip with 52 hits, 11 home runs, 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
