Havana Loses Kevin Mars Wednesday, June 9th , 2049 Kevin Mars at first refused to leave today's Brooklyn-Havana game after he suffered a broken kneecap while being hit by a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Havana shortstop said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Mars out of action for 4-5 months.
