Hits Galore: Alcala Drills 6 Hits Friday, August 9th , 2047 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Kyle Alcala -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Russwood Park and paced the 16-1 Cossacks win over the Memphis Chicks. After his dynamite batting performance, the Kyiv right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Kyle Alcala hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Andy Baum in the 9th.
