Barraza Jacks 3 into the Stands Thursday, May 18th , 2051 Fans are still buzzing after Dublin whipped the Kyiv Cossacks by the score of 9-2 at Kyiv Grounds. Manny Barraza smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 7 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Barraza said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Barraza said. "Three is just... wow." Manny Barraza hit a solo-shot off Billy Roland in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Billy Roland in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Julio Salaiz in the 8th. This year, Barraza is hitting .213 with 27 hits, 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 25 runs. |
