Monster 3-HR Day for Nicotra Saturday, May 15th , 2049 The St. Louis Archies won't soon forget the display of raw power by Chris Nicotra of the Arizona Desert Storm. He victimized the Archies by pounding three pitches out of Desert Storm Stadium to spark his club to a win, 12-11. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Nicotra told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Chris Nicotra hit a two-run home run off Shuhei Ouchi in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Julio Martinez in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Kyle Sanchez in the 8th. Nicotra has a .307 average and a .359 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 43 hits, 18 home runs and driven in 42 runs. |
