6-Hit Game for Gainey Sunday, May 9th , 2049 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Joe Gainey of the Arizona Desert Storm had one of those moments when he went 6-for-6 at the plate in his team's 10-7 win over the East Haddam Hyenas at Ballpark of East Haddam. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Joe Gainey hit a solo-shot off Chris Newell in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Lutz in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
