Avery AL Winner, Top Hurler in April Monday, May 1st , 2051 This month when the Los Angeles manager wrote the name "Avery" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in April Jon Avery took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-0 mark and 1.50 ERA in 5 starts, piling up 36 innings and 45 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .153 average. For his superb performance Avery was named the Alliance League Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. |
