FL's Best Player, Garcia of Kyiv Monday, July 8th , 2047 22-year-old Rod Garcia sent shock waves through The Confederation of Baseball Dunces last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Federation League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Garcia made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .423 average, 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the Kyiv Cossacks left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Garcia certainly made his mark last week. On the year, Garcia has hit .307 with 8 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 43 runs. |
