Shearing Hit String Snapped at 22 Saturday, June 8th , 2047 After 22 games, Scot Shearing had his hitting streak ended abruptly by the Detroit Pizzas at Pizzas Ballpark. The Hanoi Dragon Warriors center fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Shearing seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Dragon Warriors beating the Pizzas, 2-1. "It was good while it lasted," Shearing said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." So far this year, Shearing is hitting .345 with 4 home runs. |
