Shearing Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games
Tuesday, June 4th , 2047
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 5-3, to the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, but Scot Shearing continued to hit like a god.
The center fielder collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Shearing is playing great and is on fire right now," Dragon Warriors manager Jim thevoicelesscreator said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Shearing was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Scot Shearing hit a solo-shot off Willie Sevilla in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
Currently Shearing is hitting .366 and has collected 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 12 times, while playing in 18 games.
