Pratley Tags 3 HR Against Cossacks Sunday, May 12th , 2047 Memphis Chicks third baseman Daniel Pratley sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Kyiv Cossacks, Pratley told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Pratley pushed the Chicks past the Cossacks, 10-8. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Pratley told reporters after the game. Daniel Pratley hit a two-run home run off Eric Hartman in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Eric Hartman in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Mark Powers in the 9th. Pratley is hitting .219 this season with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 114 at-bats. |
