Brooklyn, Portland Agree to Trade Tuesday, January 2nd , 2052 The Knights have reached a deal with Portland, sending 27-year old 2B Danny Ortiz, 26-year old RHP Brian Williams, 24-year old minor league LF Josh Benavidez, 21-year old minor league RHP Joe Dlugosh, 21-year old minor league LF Ed Fischer, 21-year old minor league RHP Ivan Gutierrez, and a 2nd round draft pick to the Beavers in exchange for 28-year old 2B Oscar Hernandez and 24-year old minor league RHP Brian Hendricks. Reports had been hinting at a deal in recent days, but weren't confirmed until this afternoon. Portland will retain a portion of Hernandez's remaining contract. |
