In an unforgettable performance, the 29-year-old Hay fanned 16 Hyenas and sparked the 4-1 St. Louis Archies victory over East Haddam. He left Hyenas hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth.
