To average 4 base hits per 10 at-bats, well, that only happens for the best of the best -- the .400 hitters. Osaka left fielder Sam Clark certainly qualifies as one of the best. He hit an astronomical .401 this season. "He's the best pure hitter I've ever seen," his manager said. "And I've been around some great players." His numbers this year also included 58 doubles, 11 triples and 19 home runs. The newest member of baseball's .400 Club also scored 120 times and batted in 87 runs. |
