Havana Eliminated from Playoff Contention Thursday, September 19th , 2052 Even the most die-hard fans of the Havana Sugar Kings will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Sugar Kings closer Chad Edwards. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Havana last appeared in the postseason in 2049. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 20 times in their 32-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Sugar Kings have missed the playoffs 7 times. Havana has won the World Series 2 times in their history. |
