Wilmington's Gutierrez Gets AL Player of the Week Monday, September 9th , 2052 It was an extraordinary week for Danny Gutierrez of the Wilmington Blue Rocks. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .476, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Alliance League. Last week Gutierrez went 10-for-21, racked up 2 home runs and 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Wilmington first baseman. This season, Gutierrez is batting .277 with 135 hits, 16 home runs, 59 RBIs, .343 OBP and has scored 70 runs. |
