Great Month Gets AL Top Rookie Trophy Sunday, September 1st , 2052 Andres Ramirez won the Rookie of the Month Award in the Alliance League today. After posting 2 wins and 1 loss in 0 starts during August, the Yellowstone Super Volcano starter seemed an obvious choice for the honor. He struck out 18 and walked 3 in 12 innings and appears to be settling in nicely in the league. If this is any indication of his future success, fans of the Super Volcano are in for a treat for several years to come. This season, Ramirez has notched 15 saves. In 40 relief appearances, he has 49 strikeouts in 42.1 innings with a 2.98 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 4-2. |
