Archies Trade Irish to Scorpions for Cook Monday, August 5th , 2052 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the St. Louis Archies and the Arizona Scorpions have agreed to a deal that will have 30-year old minor league RHP Kyle Sanchez, 29-year old minor league 3B Jason Irish, 21-year old minor league 1B Ryan Hahn, 21-year old minor league 2B Marco Suarez, 23-year old minor league 2B Felipe Viera, and 31-year old minor league C Gabe Hansen heading to Arizona in exchange for 27-year old RHP Ron Cook. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. In 524 career games Irish has batted .276 with 535 hits with 116 doubles, 2 triples and 63 home runs. He has also collected 278 RBIs and scored 225 runs. In 24 starts this year, Cook has recorded a 5-11 record and a 4.09 ERA. |
