Brooklyn-Arizona Trade: Muzzy for Garcia Monday, August 5th , 2052 Brooklyn and Arizona announced today in a joint press conference that 25-year old RF Dave Muzzy, 33-year old minor league LHP Alejandro Rodriguez, 22-year old minor league LF Jason Wilson, and a 5th round draft pick will be going to the Scorpions in exchange for 27-year old LF Eddie Garcia. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. Brooklyn will retain a portion of Rodriguez's remaining contract. Thus far this year, Muzzy is hitting .246 with 14 home runs, 47 RBIs and 38 runs scored. Garcia is batting .264 this year with 6 home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 144 at-bats. |
