League Issues 8-Game Suspensions for Brawl Saturday, August 3rd , 2052 Baseball officials have notified the Blueberry Bulldogs and Sugar Kings organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Sudbury-Havana contest at Sugardome II. Hugo Cabrera of the Blueberry Bulldogs and Bill Mitchell of the Sugar Kings will have to sit out 8 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. This season, Cabrera is batting .234 with 5 home runs. His totals include 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored. Mitchell has nailed down no saves for the year. He has also totaled 32 strikeouts and 8 walks in 26 innings while registering a 3.46 ERA and a 1-2 won-lost record. |
