Sudbury Starter Named FL's Best Pitcher Thursday, August 1st , 2052 In July Sudbury starter Josh Freeland confused hitters all month long. Last month's Federation League Pitcher of the Month took home the trophy as he collected a 5-0 record in 5 starts. The 28-year-old Freeland added 54 strikeouts in 35.2 innings and 13 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.78 ERA. Other clubs hit .175 against him. So far this year, Freeland has made 22 starts, tossed 139.1 innings, struck out 167 batters and walked 43. His record is 9-7 with a 4.33 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .267 batting average. |
