Beavers Star Wins 2049 Pitcher of the Year Award Wednesday, December 8th , 2049 The Portland Beavers have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Jason Scothorn, this year's Alliance League Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Scothorn compiled a 18-9 record in 33 starts, tallied 235 strikeouts in 236.2 innings and recorded a 3.16 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .249 batting average against him. Zack Alvarez of the Havana Sugar Kings finished second in voting, while Phil Beard of the Detroit Pizzas finished third. |
