Diaz Will Miss Time After Freak Treadmill Injury Monday, February 24th , 2048 Pittsburgh right fielder Sergio Diaz will miss at least a few weeks after being diagnosed with a strained groin. The injury occurred while Diaz was running on a treadmill in the team's workout facility. Safety inspectors weren't able to find anything mechanically defective on the offending machine. However, a subsequent review of the team's facilities showed several pieces of equipment to be unsafe. As a precaution, Pittsburgh management has announced that equipment in the team's aging facility will be immediately replaced with brand new machines. |
