St. Louis Beats Portland in World Series Saturday, November 11th , 2051 The St. Louis Archies ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Portland Beavers 5-2 to win the World Series. St. Louis won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 4th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 101-61 and claimed first place in the Federation League Birdbrains Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and catcher Brandon Duckworth said the Archies have "great fans and they deserve this." "I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
