Portland Advances to World Series Wednesday, November 1st , 2051 The Portland Beavers triumphed 3-2 over the Buffalo Buffalo at The Greenhouse in the League Championship to capture it 4-2. The victory advanced the Beavers to the World Series. For his superb play in the series, Beavers third baseman Marco Estrada garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .407, scoring 2 runs and batting in 7. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Estrada said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Portland Beavers will play against the St. Louis Archies in the next round. St. Louis won their series against the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs 4 games to 2.
