Osaka Star Captures FL Bat Crown
Monday, October 16th , 2051
The numbers speak for themselves: a .348 batting average in 158 games, 235 hits, 47 doubles, 5 triples, 26 home runs, 88 RBIs, 125 runs scored and 42 walks.
Those numbers added up to a batting title for Sam Clark of the Osaka Takoyaki.
The 28-year-old left fielder received the 2051 Federation League batting trophy today. At the award ceremony, Clark was definitely proud of his achievement.
"I always knew that I had the talent to win a batting title," Clark commented to reporters, "but I've had trouble at times with consistency. Everything came together this season. I hope this is not the last time. It will be a challenge, but I hope to win it again."
