St. Louis Moves on to World Series
Monday, October 18th , 2049
The championship aspirations of the St. Louis Archies are still alive and well, while the Dublin Porters are left to wait until next year.
St. Louis won the clinching game of the League Championship 3-2 over Dublin at Porters Ballpark, to win the series 4-1.
"You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said second baseman Alex Garcia, who paced the St. Louis offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit."
Garcia claimed the MVP by racking up 11 hits for a .440 average, with a .440 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The St. Louis Archies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hanoi Dragon Warriors - Portland Beavers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
