Palisades, Norment Silence Reno, 1-0
|
Joe Norment was dynamite at Phoenix Ballpark, blowing away the Reno Copper Kings in a shutout victory. The Phoenix Palisades starter had everything working as he held the Copper Kings to 6 hits in the 1-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Reno skipper Ben Doutrich. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Norment finished the game with 6 strikeouts and no walks.
This year, Norment has gone 1-2 with an ERA of 3.98 and has 37 strikeouts in 40.2 innings.
