Cossacks Fall Short, 4-3, at St. Louis
St. Louis Archies starter Shuhei Ouchi found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Kyiv Cossacks. Ouchi, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 11 and giving up 1 walk. Satoharu Sato earned save number 5 this season.

Alex Pimentel dealt the Cossacks a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and St. Louis leading 3-1, Pimentel, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Ouchi. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."

The win puts St. Louis at 8-4.
