The Lansing Red Storm topped the Arizona Desert Storm, 13-9, at Desert Storm Stadium. Lansing first baseman Gregorio Gonzalez was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3. Reliever Kyle Meadors picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Greg McDowell, who led the AL in wins with 17 in 2046, took the loss. The Red Storm have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.

Ryan Isaac drove in one run against the Desert Storm. With the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Lansing in front, 9-8.
