St. Louis second baseman Jay Marshall had a good game, even if his team did not. The Archies dropped a 7-6 decision to Sudbury at Team2 Ballpark. Marshall went 3-3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Sudbury reliever Derrick Bergdahl picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Ken Standifer absorbed the loss. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Justin Roeber.

Dan Donaldson was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Sudbury. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Donaldson had a clutch at-bat. Facing St. Louis hurler Ken Standifer, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Blueberry Bulldogs a 7-6 lead.

"We took home the win," said Donaldson. "What's not to like?"

St. Louis drops to 7-4.
