Detroit Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Hauger
Detroit left fielder Zack Hauger had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-9, to Los Angeles at Sportsman's Park. Hauger belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Alex Watkins, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 2. Los Angeles goes to 7-5.

Eric Heckman, who finished 4th in the AL in triples with 4 in 2049, aided the Los Angeles cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 2.
