Morman Belts 5 Hits
|
It was almost a perfect day for Darius Morman.
The Nephi shortstop displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Threshers lost to the Kinsale Fisherman, 7-2. Morman told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Nephi manager Pedro Martinez told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Darius Morman singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Currently Morman is batting .444 with 12 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 2 runs and scored 1 times.
